Online play improvements: - Intermittent network issues are properly handled silently on the background - Now you can create a table with bots only and later invite the players you want to play with. No more strangers joining uninvited. Major bug fix in the private messaging module that caused many tables to freeze.
Hint: You can scroll the bidding box to 5-7 levels. If bidding goes gradually the box will scroll for you by it self. Hint: If a table is private (all three players are computers) you still can invite players to join you. Hint: If a table freezes it is not the computer that freezes it, rather a player is having Intermittent Internet connection issue.
Good practice is to send table chat message, and boot the player that does not respond. The servers have natural timeout of 60 seconds. 2.7 Sep 1, 2011. Interface improvements: - Bidding hints now come with interpretation - You can customize any of the existing Convention Cards.
Go to the Convention Cards list in Setting and press on 'i' to adjust it. Make sure you press Save when finished. Online Play improvements: - Touching on a player's name when seating at a table will show you player profile. From that screen you can add to your buddies and the table host can boot a player at any time. Get a notification when someone closes iBridgeBaron without leaving the table first.
The table host can boot the player immediately or wait for the player to come back. Send a message to the table as you play. 2.5 Mar 3, 2011.
TXTrial Lawyer, Generally Pleased I’m generally pleased with this game on my iPad. I’ll rarely play it in my iPhone, but an iPhone is really too small to see the cards well. I’m puzzled by those who say they have stability problems and crashes. I don’t think mine has crashed a single time. I also like the fact that the bidding is highly customizable. I play strong 2 bids and the app allow you to program those in fairly easily.
Also allows you to customize opening leads against NT bids, etc. Likewise, you can select which bidding system your opponents use. I’ve used that to become more familiar with SAYC. Really not much to complain about in my experience. Maybe a few erratic bids or leads here and there. Wish it was just a tad faster.

Asis15, Has bugs since a new version came out Has bugs that haven't been addressed for a while already (since the new iOS version came out.) The game crashes quite often.
The bidding starts off incorrectly and have to click Undo to start the bidding properly. No more option to go back to a previous game after new one starts. Graphics have deteriorated. Hints are barely seen.
And why doesn’t show vulnerability? The response from the help desk is always the same: upgrade to a new version. Well I did many times, always to the latest version, and nothing seems to have been changed with each newly released version. Yes, it’s better than no Bridge app at all, I still do play it regularly, but the bugs are unacceptable. Why was it even introduced this way, with these new bugs?

Jachebo, UNRELIABLE PROGRAM & PARTNER Bridge Baron is better than having no Bridge at all, I suppose. You can use it to practice counting and making better guesses at which opponent has the critical card, but bidding is muddy because partner is not exactly paying attention to your buds. Too often your weak hand pre-emptive bids are raised to game when Partner also has a very weak hand and the doubled contract is most certainly NOT a favorable sacrifice. Partner also pays no attention to your bidding when choosing his opening lead. There are more examples of what's wrong with Bridge Baron, but the worst came after this last 'upgrade.' Now the games won't load until you first open and close the program a few times or go into settings, make a change, then reload.
